I joined Jam City in May of 2018 as a C++ Engineer. I had the pleasure of joining the Genies & Gems team to begin my career as a game developer in Los Angeles.
OBJECTIVE
Analyze difficult problems and provide effective solutions to improve and maintain a pre-existing C++ codebase and provide a user-friendly environment for coworkers as well as players.
OVERVIEW
After working on the game for a while, I've spent a majority of my time fixing bugs and making new features to be updated to the live version of the game. I've learned that a live product requires deadlines and sometimes crunch, but overall the experience has been relaxed and kept at a healthy pace. Cleaning up outdated, foreign, legacy code is a scary thing for a live product. Pulling one seam could lead to countless problems if not observed early on.
